Seeing so many people having fun this afternoon was great, but more importantly, we are delighted that the new homes are ready and people are about to move in and enjoy living in the heart of the community.
Housing and Planning Minister Brandon Lewis went on to comment: “Building more affordable homes is a vital part of our long-term economic plan. We have already built 200,000 new affordable homes and new investment will help us reach the fastest rate of affordable house building for two decades. I am delighted to open Millfleet Court and hear how Freebridge Housing have worked with the local community to deliver good quality affordable homes for residents new and old.”
Guests also got to see a short film which saw key people involved with the regeneration interviewed, as well as an insight into the history of Hillington Square, which you can see over here.
